From India to Main Street: My Culinary Journey
Growing up in India, food was always more than a daily need — it was an expression of love, celebration, and togetherness. Every festival brought a new set of flavors. Every family gathering centered around food.
When I moved to the U.S., I craved those familiar tastes — the smell of tempering spices, the comfort of dal chawal, the celebration in every bite of homemade mithai. But I also began exploring new ingredients, kitchen hacks, and global cuisines.
That’s when I realized: food doesn’t have to be one or the other. It can be both traditional and modern, Indian and American, simple and rich. Easy Escape was born from that realization.

Hi, I’m not a professional chef — I’m a passionate home cook who learned from generations of women who believed that food is the ultimate form of love. I work, I cook, I blog, and I test every recipe in my small kitchen — just like you.
