Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • Pinch of salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
  • 1 cup milk dairy or unsweetened plant-based
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or neutral oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preheat and Prep
  1. Heat your waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions. Lightly grease with butter or spray to prevent sticking.
Mix the Dry Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, whisk flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and salt.

Create the Batter
  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry. Gently fold until combined—don’t overmix. A few small lumps are fine.
Cook the Waffles
  1. Scoop batter onto the preheated iron (about ½ cup per waffle, depending on your maker).
  2. Cook until golden brown and crisp, about 4–5 minutes.
Serve Warm
  1. Transfer cooked waffles to a wire rack to keep them crisp while you finish the rest.
